Chaotian is a rice brand founded by young farmer Chen Yu-Yuan from Yuanli, Miaoli. He personally handles every step of production—from cultivation and milling to packaging—maintaining full control over the entire process. The brand is built around the idea of “a bowl of rice that the whole family can eat with peace of mind,” returning to the most essential trust in everyday food.

In farming practice, Chaotian strictly avoids herbicides, pesticides, and chemical fertilizers, allowing the fields to exist in harmony with nature. Even the field bunds are left in their natural soil form rather than being reinforced with concrete, preserving the original ecological environment of the paddies.

For this reason, he names his rice “No-Spread Rice,” reflecting a cultivation method that does not rely on chemical spraying and instead grows in alignment with natural rhythms—bringing rice back to its simplest and most reassuring form.
